The Entrepreneurial RLC is a two year learning community that meets weekly to explore and learn about entrepreneurship. This Fall the students decided that their entrepreneurial venture would be a booth at Farmer's Market. The Farmer's Market is held every Tuesday 4-7 pm on E. Hancock street. The group has planted and maintained a garden spot at Dr. Fontenot's house that yielded the first crop that was offered for sale at the Milledgeville Farmer's Market on Tuesday October 6. The group offered banana peppers; red and yellow hot peppers; tomatillo's; fresh cut herbs, including rosemary, mint, and basil; and fresh mint and liriope grass plants. The group will be at the Farmer's Market through the remainder of the fall. Additional items that will be added to their list of offerings as they mature will be radishes; fall plant starters including cabbage, spinach, collards, Brussels sprouts, lettuce; and dried herbs. Dr. Renée J. Fontenot is the faculty advisor for this group.
